ARC Lifeguard Instructor the Town is holding a Lifeguard Instructor training February 20-23, 2023, using the WSCSD pools. The course will run from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Participants do need to attend all dates/times. There may be coursework online, which Participants will be required to complete, prior to the in-person class dates. There is no fee for this course. Participants will need to enter into a professional services agreement with the Town of West Seneca to participate in the course. This professional services agreement would be separate from any employment Participants may have in the future with the Town of West Seneca. Under the professional services agreement Participants would be required to provide lifeguard certification training at least two (2) times per year in 2023 and 2024.  Such training sessions shall be for a full and/or recertification course depending upon the prior certification held by the individual.  If the Participant fail to provide the required training sessions each year, Participant would be required to reimburse the Town for the cost of the Training provided to Participant. In addition to any other terms/conditions as outlined in the professional services agreement. Prerequisites: Participants must have a valid Lifeguard Certification and be at least 17 years of age or older. If the certification expired within the past 6 months, please let me know, as we may be able to accommodate this. Please email lmasset@twsny.org for information on how to apply.

Summer 2023 Job Fair the Town of West Seneca will be hosting two job fairs for Summer 2023 employment. The job fairs will be held inside the West Seneca Community Center and Library located at 1300 Union Road, West Seneca, NY, 14224. The second job fair will take place on 4/4/23 from 1:30 – 3:30 PM. Highway/B&G will be onsite with us!.

Teen Half Court Basketball for ages 13-17. This is a walk-in program; no registration is required. Dates/times vary (posted to our website).


Youth Dodgeball for ages 5-13. Join us for the Youth Dodgeball Program. This program will be highly active. Pre-registration is required. Space is limited. Spots are first come, first serve. This program is FREE for West Seneca Residents.  

Youth Open Gym for ages 5-13. Join us for Youth Open Gym! This program is highly active. Activities will be indoors. Activities will include a variety of “PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLASS” games. Daily games are TBD. Registration is online only. Games include but are not limited to (and could change at any time): Kickball, GaGaball, Castle Ball, Kings & Queens, Sharks and Minnows, SPUD, etc. Pre-registration is required. Space is limited. Spots are first come, first serve. This program is FREE for West Seneca Residents.  

Teen Volunteer Program for youth in grades 9-12 who are looking for volunteer opportunities that will allow them to give back to their community, provide positive youth development opportunities, and strengthen their leadership skills. Through service and leadership, members build and strengthen assets in themselves and provide meaningful assistance to the Recreation Department, the Town of West Seneca, youth, and their families. 

Preschool Crafternoon for ages 4-5. We will do one craft per day which may include painting, cutting, drawing, gluing. Youth will be required to be 100% independent with their bathroom needs.  Pre-registration is required. Space is limited. Spots are first come, first serve. This program is FREE for West Seneca Residents.  

Youth STEAM for ages 5-10. This program will involve doing different experiments, building activities, and learning about the science and arts. Pre-registration is required. Space is limited. Spots are first come, first serve. This program is FREE for West Seneca Residents.  

Pickleball for Adults on most Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 - 11:30 AM in the CCL Youth Gym. This program is coordinated in partnership with a third party and is free and open to the public. You must sign a waiver to participate. Please text Ann Marie for more information or to sign up. 716-870-2797.

Tai-Chi for Adults takes place on most Wednesday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM in the CCL Youth Gym. This program is coordinated in partnership with a third party and is free and open to the public. You must sign a waiver to participate. Please call Sharon to sign up or for more information. 716-674-9231.

Summer Youth Programs for various ages have been released online. These programs are free for WS Residents. Space is limited. Pre-registration is required. 

We are accepting Facility Use applications for 2023 Town of West Seneca facility use (Community Events, Road Races, Diamond Use, Field Use, etc...) on January 3.
