Lifeguard Instructor Course

Make a difference by teaching lifeguarding skills! This instructor course prepares you to train others in water safety, rescue techniques, and emergency response. Certified instructors are in high demand, offering you:

Invest in your community and help prevent aquatic accidents. This course costs only $100 (refundable after 4 training sessions in 2025-2026) for West Seneca Youth & Recreation.

Course Details: February 18, 19, & 20, 2025 (in-person) + Online training assigned beforehand.
Who can participate? Prerequisites: 
  • Age: Be at least 17 years old by the last day of the course.
  • Certifications: You must hold a current American Red Cross certification (valid during the course) in one of these combinations:
    • Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED
    • Lifeguarding/First Aid + (either) CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer OR CPR/AED for Lifeguards
Important Note: CPR certification is only valid one year from the issuance date, regardless of the expiration date printed on the card.
