West Seneca Farmers Market (Summer 2022)

A ribbon-cutting to celebrate the opening of the ninth annual West Seneca Farmers’ Market will take place at 4 p.m. Thursday, May 26, on the grassy hill at the corner on Union Road and Main Street. The open-air market — offered through a partnership between the Town of West Seneca and the West Seneca Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by Western New York Federal Credit Union — will run from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday evenings through Sept. 15, weather permitting. Please note that there will be no market on June 23 due to West Seneca Community Days.

The following businesses are tentatively slated to participate in the market: Alpha Importers, Artigana Food, Baglio’s Bee Farm, Chateau Buffalo, Cindy’s Creations, Clarity Group of New York, Donna’s Pepper Jelly, Dots Pantry, Enchanted Acres Farm, GEICO Local Office West Seneca, Gloria’s Tupperware Treasures, Hanzlian’s Sausage, Kate’s Country Cousins, Kate’s Creations, Keeping Traditions Barbie-Pierogi, Knead N Treats, Kody’s Kettlekorn, Korri’s Home, Lilies of the Field, Lilla Rose Hair Accessories, Love My K9 Collars, My Father’s Fudge, Olio Bellissimo, Rusty Nickel Brewing Company, Sarah Belle’s Soap and Artwork, Signature Homestyles, Spoonfuls Gourmet Butters, Spot Coffee West Seneca, Springbrook Bible Chapel, Ten Lives Club, We R Nuts, West Seneca Chamber of Commerce and Yoga Pants Vodka.

Food trucks expected to visit the market on a weekly basis include Buffalo Bros Burgers, House of Munch, Just Pizza and Red’s Hot Dogs.

Additionally, one or two local nonprofit organizations will also host informational tables each week. The 2022 schedule includes: May 26, Kids Escaping Drugs (with Mary Alice Ubal State Farm); June 2, West Seneca Woman’s Club; June 9, Vigilant Fire Company; June 16, Burchfield Nature & Art Center and the Amana Garden Club; June 30, Erie County Clerk’s Office; July 7, West Seneca Marching Band Boosters; July 14, West Seneca Lions Club; July 21, Friends of the West Seneca Public Library; July 28, 14 Holy Helpers Church; Aug. 4, West Seneca Bikes; Aug. 11, West Seneca Joint Veterans Committee and Girls Scouts of WNY; Aug. 18, St. David’s Church West Seneca and The Reading Rover; Aug. 25, Spectrum Health & Human Services; Sept. 1, Buffalo City Mission (with Mary Alice Ubal State Farm; Sept. 8, West Seneca Historical Society; and Sept. 15, West Seneca Recreation Commission.

Entertainment is also planned at the market on select evenings. Additionally, the West Seneca Lions Club will once again host 7 p.m. concerts at the Lions Bandshell behind the West Seneca Community Center, just steps away from the farmers’ market. A complete schedule of musical acts will be released very soon.

Free weekly yoga classes for participants of all ages will be offered at 6 p.m. Thursday evenings at the market. The yoga classes will take place under the shade of the trees and will run for 45 to 60 minutes. Leading the weekly yoga class will be Valerie Halady, fitness instructor for the West Seneca Senior Center. Participants should bring their own yoga mat, a bottle of water and any other props they may need for support.

Parking within the market is limited to vendors only. Ample free parking is available in the parking lots behind West Seneca Town Hall at 1250 Union Road, and the West Seneca Community Center & Library at 1300 Union Road. Parking along the road leading from Main Street into the parking lot is reserved for senior citizens and disabled individuals (look for signage).
