Details:
Join us for some SUMMER FUN! This program is highly active. Activities will be both indoor and outdoor. Activities will include a variety of “GYM CLASS” games, arts & crafts, playground visits, on-site guests, and more! The program is limited to 20 youth per session and pre-registration is required (no walk-ins). Parents/Guardians must both walk their child in/out and sign their child in/out of the program. Youth are required to bring a water bottle to each session and wear sneakers/socks. The program runs rain or shine.

August 1 and 2 - GaGa Ball Inflatable (Canceled by Vendor: Niagara Climbing Center Rock Climbing Wall (Weather Dependent))

How to Register:
Registration begins on April 28, 2022, at 10:00 AM and ends when spots are FULL -OR- on June 20, 2022, at 3:00 PM, whichever comes first. You can register for both the Monday/Wednesday and Tuesday/Thursday program(s) assuming space is available.

Registration is for RESIDENTS ONLY. A resident is any person who resides at an address that pays Town of West Seneca property taxes. Your status is assessed at the time of account creation. If you incorrectly enter your address at the time of account creation your account could be assessed NON-RESIDENT status. If this happens you will need to contact our office to have this corrected. We will not hold any spots, in any program. We suggest you set up your account if you have not already done so, several days in advance of the program registration date to avoid any errors/issues and/or spots filling up.
Monday/Wednesday Session Dates:
2022: July 11, 13, 18, 20, 25, 27 and August 1, 3
Tuesday/Thursday Session Dates:
2022: July 12, 14, 19, 21, 26, 28 and August 2, 4
Schedule:
9:30 - 9:40 - Drop Off. Parents must walk their children in and sign them in. Youth not in attendance at 9:40 AM will be marked absent and not able to attend the program.
9:50 - 11:20 - Program activities
11:20 - 11:30 AM - Pick-Up. Adults must walk their child in, be on the approved pick-up list (provided at the time of registration), and show their photo ID before a child can be released to them.
Please note: This program could be canceled at any time with no notice or warning due to COVID-19, staffing levels, facility issues, weather, health/safety issues/concerns, low attendance, etc.
Tie Dye:
The campers will be doing tie-dye on one of the scheduled program dates.
The Town will provide each camper with one (1) bandanna to tie-dye. Campers are only permitted to tie-dye the provided item and no other items. This is to make it fair to all.
The tie-dyed item will come home wet with dye. Instructors on how to care of your campers tie-dyed item can be found below. Please be aware that the dye could run any surface or material that it comes in contact with. Please handle with caution and care.
Tie Dye Instructions
- Leave Tie Dyed item in the bag you brought it home in for 24 HOURS.
- Once you are ready to wash your item, open the bag up in a sink, tub, outside, or somewhere you can easily clean and won’t be ruined if some dye gets on it. ASK AN ADULT where you should rinse it!
- Take your item out of the bag, remove all the rubber bands, and unfold you tie dyed item and take a look! Rinse the shirt with water, first cold, then warm, then hot. Rinse the item a couple of times at each temperature until the water runs almost clear.
- Wash your item before using it. Put it in a washing machine, WITH NOTHING ELSE and wash the fabric, with soap, as you normally would.
- Once the fabric has been washed, it is ready to wear or use and can be washed and dried with your regular laundry.
What if I pay West Seneca School District Taxes but not West Seneca Property Taxes?
Paying WSCSD School District taxes has never qualified someone for Resident Status. To be considered a Resident the address must pay Town of West Seneca property taxes. School District taxes do not qualify you for a Resident Status or Discounted Rate. In regards to taxes school taxes and town property taxes are two separate tax bases. School taxes only go to the West Seneca Central School District and do not come back to the Town of West Seneca to fund any Town facilities/services. Town of West Seneca property taxes fund the Town of West Seneca Recreation Department (and other departments, services, and facilities). The Splash Pad, West Seneca Ice Rink, Community Center & Library, and Recreation Department/Programs are Town of West Seneca entities. Due to this the discounted rate/Resident Status is for those way pay Town of West Seneca property taxes.
