News: Fall/Winter/Spring 2021-2022 Employee Recruitment Efforts

As of 12/6/2021: CCL Youth Gym (Adult and Youth) programs were canceled for the Fall/Winter/Spring season due to a lack of applicants for both Youth Service Coordinator (required) and program staff (required). Recruitment efforts can be found below.

All West Seneca Youth & Recreation Fall/Winter/Spring programs such as but not limited to Open Skate, Adult Skate, Over 30 Hockey, Youth Gym Youth Programs and Youth Gym Adult Programs are contingent upon proper staffing levels. The department worked with HR to update and create the Fall/Winter/Spring job postings for various department programs. The job postings were released on July 19, 2021.

Job postings are included in the department's monthly newsletter (online and print).

The WS Sun/WS Bee ran the job openings in various editions. 

LM emailed AK/MAM requesting the Fall/Winter/Spring job postings be hung on the bulletin board at Town Hall on July 19, 2021. 

LM hung a large poster in the CCL Hallway and CCL Youth Gym Window (facing the Veterans Walkway) with the Fall/Winter/Spring job postings on July 20, 2021. The poster is still hanging as of the date/time this document was published. 

JD had Job Posting Flyer's/Listing & Employment Applications on the West Seneca Youth & Recreation table/kids zone at National Night Out on 8/3/2021.

Now Hiring Packets with all job postings + applications were handed out at the Enchanted Path Event 10/15/2021. 

As of 11/1/2021 - West Seneca Youth & Recreation has had a lack of applicants (leadership and attendant level) that are needed to run Adult Skate and Open Public Skate. In a partnership with Leisure Rinks, Leisure Rinks will operate the two programs this year. For more information regarding Adult Skate and/or Open Public Skating programs (such as program dates, times, fees, how to purchase tickets, etc) that take place at the West Seneca Ice Rink (1250 Union Road) please visit https://www.holidayrinks.com/westseneca-townrink and their phone number is 716-675-8992. As of 11/1/2021 we had the following # of applicants:

On 11/2/2021 - The department printed new now hiring packets to reflect the 11/1/2021 change. 

On 11/2/2021 - The department requested updated new now hiring recruitment signs for the CCL hallway and window. The new signs were later hung up.
