Reminder: West Seneca Youth & Recreation will close at 5:00 PM on July 2, 2021 and remain closed until 9:00 AM on July 6, 2021 due to the 4th of July holiday. There will be no programs during this time. (Note: Summer Day Camp will open at 7:30 AM on July 6, 2021.)
The department office is open during its regular hours of operation Monday – Friday from 9:30 – 11:30 AM and 2:30 - 4:30 PM. Please call 716-674-6086 before you come to ensure we are not closed due to low staffing.
The Veterans Park Ball Bin has been installed along the fence of the Aquatics Center inside Veterans Park. The bin is re-stocked weekly (day of the week varies) and offers FREE recreation equipment on a first come, first serve basis. The Veterans Park Splash Pad "Grand Opening" event is schedule for July 1, 2021. Please check back for the July 1, 2021 opening time. The Veterans Park Large Pool will be open on a limited schedule due to staffing shortages. The Large Pool will be for valid Membership Cardholders only, see below for more information. The department aggressively recruited throughout Erie, Niagara and other surrounding counties for Summer 2021 Staff, efforts included but are not limited to raising wages by $1.00 per hour and offering up to a $500 bonus. Recreation Attendant, Part-Time various positions such as but not limited to ice rink guard (16+), youth gym attendant (18+), camp staff (18+), certified aquatics staff (16+). We need Rec Attendants PT for 2021 programs (Adult Skate, Open Skate, Pickleball, Basketball, Open Gym, and More)! The gym will remain closed for programming until the gym positions are filled. Open/Adult Skate and Youth Gym Programs will not run until the rink positions are filled for the 2021-22 season. Apply Today!
Clerk Typist, Part-Time: Requirements include being proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
